<p>Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has told his players to treat Saturday's El Clasico clash with Real Madrid as if it was a final.</p><p>The Catalan giants go into the game trailing their bitter rivals on goal difference at the top of the La Liga table, and a win for either side could go some way to determining who secures domestic bragging rights this season.</p><p>Not surprisingly, Guardiola is under no illusion as to the size of the task awaiting his talented band of charges.</p><p>"The match is not a final, but we need to play it as if it is," he told Sport.<br /> <br /> "If we don't play it like a final, we could lose La Liga in the Bernabeu. It is a match that to win will be to give a large blow to the other team.</p><p>"We have the opportunity to be Liga champions again and that is what is at stake in the Bernabeu.</p><p>"We all shoulder the pressure of winning. If there were three or four matches left in the season, I would call this match decisive. But with seven left, it is very important."<br /> <br /> Despite Lionel Messi wowing all and sundry thanks to his four midweek goals against Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals, Guardiola also insisted that the game was not all about Messi and Real Madrid star player Cristiano Ronaldo.</p><p>"Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has the task of stopping Barcelona and I have the task of stopping Madrid.</p><p>"They are a team with a very good squad and that's why they score an average of three goals per match at the Bernabeu.</p><p>"We know that in the Bernabeu they play very well. They have won 15 of 15 matches. I have seen them and they are very impressive - a team with great ability and a lot of virtue."</p>
